When you look around and feel deeply disturbed by the selfishness and materialism in the world, you are not alone — and you are not invisible to God. In the Bible, Jehovah God gave a powerful vision to the prophet Ezekiel: angels were instructed to “put a mark on the foreheads of the men who are sighing and groaning over all the detestable things being done” (Ezekiel 9:4). That mark meant protection. Why? Because those people still had tender hearts. They hadn’t become numb to evil. They cared.

Greed today shows up in more than just flashy lifestyles. It fuels corruption in governments, dishonesty in businesses, and even cruelty in families. It pushes people to cheat, lie, and step over others — just to get ahead. If that makes you feel sick inside, Jehovah God sees that feeling as a sign of life. He treasures the ones who refuse to become hardened by the world’s greed and instead choose to live with conscience, compassion, and justice.

That quiet ache you carry — the sadness over what greed has done to people and the planet — is a mark of spiritual health. Jehovah God cherishes people like you. And He has promised not just to notice you, but to rescue and preserve you when the time comes. You are not powerless. You are seen. And your groaning is part of the proof that your heart still beats in rhythm with His.
