Global Warming – a Problem Solved!
The world has long viewed global warming as an unsolvable crisis. Scientists warn of rising sea levels, extreme weather, and mass extinction, while activists call for urgent reform and accountability. Governments gather for summits, pledging carbon reductions while still grappling with economic interests and political pressures. Despite decades of effort, global warming appears to be an ever-looming threat—too big, too complex, too global.
But what if the problem has already been solved—just not in the way most expect?
From a Biblical perspective, the solution to global warming is not found in technology, legislation, or protest. It lies in a promise made thousands of years ago: the earth is not destined for destruction, but for restoration. The Bible states clearly, “The earth remains forever” (Ecclesiastes 1:4). While human actions have certainly damaged the planet, God has not abandoned it.
The root cause of environmental decline is not simply carbon emissions—it’s mismanagement rooted in greed, short-sightedness, and human imperfection. The Bible foretells a time when God will “bring to ruin those ruining the earth” (Revelation 11:18). This isn’t just a threat; it’s a promise of intervention. Under God’s Kingdom, the earth will be restored, and humans will live in harmony with creation.
Unlike human-led climate plans, this solution does not rely on fragile treaties or political will. It is guaranteed by the Creator himself. Isaiah 35 paints a vivid picture of environmental renewal—deserts blooming, pure water flowing, and joy returning to all creation.
So, is global warming a problem solved? From a spiritual standpoint, yes. While human solutions are important and responsible stewardship is vital, ultimate restoration will not come from humanity’s hands, but from God’s. That doesn’t absolve us of responsibility—instead, it gives us hope.
Rather than despair, we can look forward to the time when the earth will not just survive, but thrive, forever.
