It’s not hard to see why many people have lost trust in authority.
Governments break promises.
Employers exploit.
Religious leaders disappoint.
And those meant to protect sometimes use their power to harm.
After enough disappointment, the heart begins to close — saying, “I’ll listen to no one but myself.”

Jehovah God understands this reaction.
He sees the betrayal, the hypocrisy, and the fear that make people distrust anyone in charge.
But He also knows that life without guidance can leave us anxious, defensive, and isolated — because humans were never meant to navigate life without loving direction.

When Trust Is Broken

The Bible predicted that in the last days, trust in leadership would crumble.
📖 “In the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here… men will be lovers of themselves… having no natural affection, not open to any agreement… without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness.” — 2 Timothy 3:1–3

When people in power act selfishly, authority becomes something to fear instead of respect.
Jesus saw this too — he watched religious rulers burden the people with rules they themselves ignored.
📖 “They bind up heavy loads and put them on the shoulders of men, but they themselves are not willing to budge them with their finger.” — Matthew 23:4

So if you’ve become wary of leadership, you’re not alone.
Even Jesus felt anger at hypocrisy and injustice.
But he also demonstrated the kind of leadership that restores faith: gentle, just, and full of love.

The Example of the Perfect Leader

📖 “Obey those taking the lead among you and be submissive, for they are keeping watch over your souls as those who will render an account.” — Hebrews 13:17

This verse isn’t about blind obedience — it’s about recognizing trustworthy leadership.
Jehovah’s arrangement for guidance is designed to protect, not control.
Good spiritual leaders watch over others’ souls with compassion, accountability, and humility.

Jesus set the pattern:
📖 “The Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his life as a ransom for many.” — Matthew 20:28

His authority wasn’t about dominance — it was about service.
He led by example, healed the hurting, and refused to exploit those in his care.
That’s the kind of leadership Jehovah intends for all creation.

When Christ’s Kingdom rules fully, it will replace every corrupt government and flawed institution.
Under that Kingdom, authority will once again be something beautiful — a reflection of divine love and fairness.
No manipulation, no oppression, only peace.

📖 “The meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” — Psalm 37:11

Learning to Trust Again

If you’ve been let down by people in authority, Jehovah God doesn’t condemn you for your hesitation.
He invites you to watch how He leads — gently, consistently, and without hypocrisy.
Through His Son, He’s showing the world what real power looks like: power that heals instead of harms.

When you feel the impulse to resist, ask yourself — Is it people I’m resisting, or the idea that anyone can be good in power?
Then remember that Jesus’ rulership will soon prove that authority can be pure, protective, and safe again.

Until that day, Jehovah offers peace through trust in His guidance.
He never lies. He never misuses His strength.
And He never stops caring for those who are learning to believe again.
