Corruption is the misuse of power for personal gain — often at the expense of truth, justice, or innocent people. It can show up in politics, business, religion, law, or even within families and friendships. Throughout history, humanity has struggled with corruption in all its forms — from ancient rulers who oppressed the poor, to modern institutions hiding secrets or exploiting the vulnerable.

Seeing such dishonesty, greed, or abuse of power can shake our confidence in those meant to lead or protect. But Jehovah God is not blind to these things. His word offers both comfort and the assurance of change.

  • God does not approve of corruption
📖 “When anxieties overwhelmed me, you comforted and soothed me. Can a corrupt throne be allied with you, one causing trouble in the name of law? —Psalm 94:19–21
Jehovah God sees behind every mask. He does not partner with corrupt systems, no matter how “legal” they appear. His comfort is personal — offered to those disheartened by the evil around them.
  • God will free mankind from slavery to corruption
📖 “The creation itself will also be set free from enslavement to corruption and have the glorious freedom of the children of God. For we know that all creation keeps on groaning together and being in pain together until now.” —Romans 8:21, 22
The world’s systems may be decaying, but Jehovah God promises liberation — a future free from corruption’s grip. That promise brings hope to all who are tired of watching truth be buried under lies.
  • God’s Kingdom will be pure and incorruptible
📖 “He will rescue them from oppression and violence, and their blood will be precious in his eyes.” —Psalm 72:14
In God’s coming government, there will be no bribes, no abuse, no favoritism — only justice, compassion, and purity. The blood of the innocent will be honored, not ignored.

Though corruption may seem to reign for now, it is already on borrowed time. Jehovah God has promised something better — and His promises never fail. When we see what’s wrong, let us also see Who is coming to make it right.
