Grief may bend us, but hope can lift us again.
When we lose someone we love, it can feel like the world stands still. Daily tasks lose meaning. The ache settles deep. But in the quiet moments—when tears have slowed and our thoughts turn to God—we may feel something stir: comfort. Not the kind that erases grief, but the kind that helps us carry it.
Jehovah God never promised we wouldn’t experience sorrow. Even His own Son, Jesus, wept at the tomb of his friend Lazarus. But through His Word, God gives us a greater vision—one filled with reunion, renewal, and everlasting peace.
He assures us that the joy to come will outweigh the sorrow of now. As Jesus promised:
📖 “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” — John 5:28, 29
This future hope doesn’t mean we have to smile through our pain or silence our grief. Rather, it reminds us that our tears are not the end of the story. There is more ahead. A chapter not yet lived, where arms will embrace again, laughter will return, and the sting of death will be forgotten.
Until that day comes, comfort from God is like a lantern in the darkness—gentle, warm, and constant. It helps us walk forward even while we mourn. Because we know… joy is not gone. It’s just waiting on the horizon.
