Few things cut deeper than betrayal. When trust in friends, leaders, or even religious institutions is broken, the wound can linger for years. You may feel wary, guarded, or unable to believe again.
But Jehovah God invites us to place trust where it is never misplaced:
📖 “It is better to take refuge in Jehovah than to trust in humans.” — Psalm 118:8
This doesn’t mean every person is untrustworthy. But it does remind us that humans—no matter how sincere—are limited and imperfect. They can make mistakes, mislead, or let others down, even when they don’t mean to. The prophet Jeremiah put it plainly:
📖 “I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.” — Jeremiah 10:23
This verse explains why even the best-intentioned leaders or friends can fail us: humans weren’t designed to guide themselves independently. Without Jehovah’s direction, they inevitably stumble.
Jehovah, by contrast, is a perfect guide who always wants the best for us. He says:
📖 “I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit yourself, the One guiding you in the way you should walk. If only you would pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.” — Isaiah 48:17–18
Unlike human leadership, His guidance brings lasting peace and stability. When we follow His direction, we are never misled or exploited—it always results in benefit.
That’s why Jehovah God calls on us to seek Him directly, rather than leaning too heavily on human wisdom:
đź“– “Search for Jehovah while He may be found. Call to Him while He is near… For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” declares Jehovah. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts… So my word that goes out of my mouth will be… sure to accomplish what I please.” — Isaiah 55:6, 8–9, 11
Trusting again may take time. But with Jehovah God, you have a foundation that cannot fail. His words never return empty. His loyalty never wavers. And His promises always succeed.
