Prayer is not one-sided. Jehovah God assures us:
📖 “You will call me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you” (Jeremiah 29:12). He is described as a Rock — stable, reliable, and dependable (Deuteronomy 32:4). Every prayer, whether spoken aloud or whispered in the heart, reaches Him. Even sighs too deep for words are understood (Romans 8:26). Knowing that the Sovereign of the universe inclines His ear to us brings profound comfort.

The psalmist testified:
📖 “God has surely listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer” (Psalm 66:19,20). Jehovah God does not want us to limit our prayers; instead, He urges us to “pray constantly” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). We can respectfully approach Him anytime, anywhere — He is never too busy to listen. The psalmist put it simply:
📖 “I love Jehovah, because he hears my voice” (Psalm 116:1).

But Jehovah God does more than listen — He also responds. The apostle John assures us:
📖 “No matter what we ask according to his will, he hears us” (1 John 5:14,15). His answers may not always match our expectations. Sometimes He provides immediate relief; at other times His answer is “wait” or even “no,” because He knows what is best for us long-term. The apostle Paul experienced this when his request was not granted, but instead Jehovah strengthened him with the words:
📖 “My undeserved kindness is sufficient for you” (2 Corinthians 12:7-9).

This teaches us that Jehovah’s listening ear is always open and His responses are always wise. His care is constant, His timing perfect, and His answers rooted in love. When we appreciate that God listens to our prayers, our bond with Him deepens and we are drawn closer to His heart.
