When people are forced to flee—whether due to war, disaster, or political instability—they often lose not just their homes, but their sense of stability, identity, and peace. Yet even when everything around us shifts, one truth remains unmoved: Jehovah God’s presence goes with His people.
The Bible is filled with examples of faithful individuals who endured displacement—Abraham, Moses, Ruth, Daniel, David and even Jesus. What sustained them?
Not the stability of their surroundings, but the nearness of their God.
He never abandoned them, and He will never abandon us. Whether in a new country, a crowded shelter, or temporary lodging, Jehovah walks beside His people.
📖 “God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress.” — Psalm 46:1
How can God be our Refuge?
- We can find comfort from drawing close to God in prayer.
- We can read the comforting hope and advice found in God’s word.
- We can find comfort when we seek out honest-hearted true Christians who are good neighbors and can comfort us in our trials.
Comfort reminds us that though places may change, His presence remains constant.
In times of uprooting, God’s care becomes an anchor. Even as homes, lands, or borders shift, His nearness and loving attention never waver.
When all else feels foreign, His comfort speaks the language of love and peace.
It gently reminds us: you are not alone.
📖 “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.” — Isaiah 41:10
