The death of someone we love is one of life’s deepest wounds. Grief can feel unbearable, leaving emptiness and longing that words cannot heal. Yet the Bible assures us that God cares tenderly for the bereaved:
📖 “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18.

Comfort matters because:

  • God promises a resurrection where loved ones will be reunited.
When we lose someone we love, the pain can feel unbearable. But Jehovah God offers a powerful hope: a real future where those in the grave will be brought back to life. This is not a vague idea—it’s a guaranteed promise from the one who created life in the first place.
📖 “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” —John 5:28,29
  • His word reassures us that “death will be no more.”
Grief can feel like a storm without end, but God assures us it’s not permanent. He promises a time soon to come when death, pain, and mourning will be wiped away forever.
📖 “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” —Revelation 21:3,4
  • Comfort helps us endure present grief with the hope of eternal joy ahead.
Comfort doesn’t erase grief, but it holds us together when we feel broken. Jehovah God’s promises shine like a dawn after a long night—reminding us that this pain will not last forever. A joyful reunion is coming, and that hope gives strength for today.
📖 “Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, you residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning, and the earth will let those powerless in death come to life.” —Isaiah 26:19

Though sorrow runs deep, God’s comfort promises a future without tears and a reunion that will never end.
