📖 “He will rescue the poor who cry for help, also the lowly one and whoever has no helper. He will feel sorry for the lowly and the poor, and the lives of the poor he will save.” — Psalm 72:12–13
Abuse and trauma—whether emotional, physical, sexual, or spiritual—leaves lasting wounds. It can distort your sense of self, your safety, and even your view of God. Many victims quietly carry invisible scars, including:
- Anxiety and panic attacks
- Depression or suicidal thoughts
- Shame, guilt, or self-blame
- Flashbacks and nightmares
- Isolation and fear of being misunderstood
- Trouble trusting others—even our heavenly father, Jehovah God
If this is your story, please know: Jehovah God sees what happened. And He will never blame you for the harm someone else caused. He is not the source of abuse or trauma—He is your refuge from it. (Psalm 9:9)
1. Jehovah God saw what was done to you. He never turned away.
📖 “Precious in his eyes is the blood of those who suffer.” — Psalm 72:14
📖 “You kept count of my wanderings. Put my tears in your bottle.” — Psalm 56:8
Even when no one else believed you—or even knew what was happening—Jehovah God did. Your pain was not invisible to him. He saw every betrayal. He heard every cry. He counted every tear.
He didn’t cause the abuse or trauma, and He never approved of it. Those who misuse power or position will be held accountable by Him. (Ecclesiastes 3:17; Romans 12:19)
2. You are not “damaged goods.” You are deeply precious – and God Draws Closer.
đź“– “Can a woman forget her nursing child…? Even if she did, I would never forget you.” — Isaiah 49:15
📖 “A crushed and lowly spirit, O God, you will not reject.” — Psalm 51:17
Abuse and trauma can shatter your sense of self-worth. But Jehovah God doesn’t see you as ruined. He sees someone resilient, beautiful, and worthy of healing.
He understands how trauma rewires the body and spirit. He does not expect instant recovery. He is patient and gentle with those who are wounded. Even Jesus, though perfect, cried out in pain—and was comforted by angels. (Matthew 4:11; Hebrews 5:7)
Jehovah wants you to feel safe again. And slowly, with His help, you can.
3. Jehovah God will bring justice—and full healing.
📖 “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” — Revelation 21:4
đź“– “He drew me up from the pit of destruction… and set my feet upon a rock.” — Psalm 40:2
There will come a time when all trauma will be undone. Jehovah God has promised not just to heal wounds, but to restore what was lost. Peace. Joy. Safety. Trust. Sleep.
And justice will not be overlooked. God is not blind to cruelty. He promises to right every wrong. (Psalm 37:28–29)
In the meantime, He is still working within you. Gently. Faithfully. Day by day.
✨ What if you find yourself praying, but no peace from God comes?
That doesn’t mean He isn’t listening.
Sometimes the damage runs so deep, it takes time to feel comfort again. If that’s where you are, don’t give up.
