Being persecuted for your beliefs may make you feel dishonored in the eyes of people. But in Jehovah God’s eyes, your courage is never wasted. It is remembered, treasured, and destined for reward.

Jesus reassured his faithful followers:

đź“– “Happy are you when people… persecute you… Rejoice and be overjoyed, since your reward is great in the heavens.” — Matthew 5:11–12

When Jesus spoke those words, he was speaking to his disciples—those with a heavenly calling. These ones would become part of a special government in heaven, serving as kings, priests, and judges alongside Christ. This heavenly Kingdom would one day replace all human rulership and carry out God’s justice across the universe. This is the Kingdom Jesus taught us to pray for in the Lord’s Prayer:

📖 “Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, also on earth.” — Matthew 6:10

This reveals something profound: The Kingdom is not only heavenly—it has an earthly purpose. Jehovah God’s original plan was for the earth to be a paradise filled with happy, peaceful people. That purpose hasn’t changed. The heavenly government will soon extend its blessings to obedient ones on earth—fulfilling God’s promise that the meek will “possess the earth” and live forever upon it. — Psalm 37:29

So even if your reward is not in heaven, your endurance still has meaning. Jehovah God sees your loyalty and will bless you—whether you are part of that heavenly calling or one of the millions who will enjoy life on a restored, paradise earth.

In a world where loyalty is rare and courage often goes unrecognized, Jehovah God sees yours. And He promises that your faith—shown under fire—will never be forgotten.
